thor·ough·fare (thûr-fâr) n.
a public parcel of land adjoining buildings in an context, on which people may freely assemble, interact, and move about. – wikipedia.com
This Olde English word ceased being used about a century ago, but remains relevant in the context of our blog. The Thoroughfare will be a place for us to congregate and talk about the latest media; music, movies, books and games. The term ‘thoroughfare’ first came to me while watching the popular western TV series Deadwood. Although, this thoroughfare will have far fewer murders and much less name calling (at least less use of the c-word). You can expect a fresh perspective and none of the self-righteous verbiage you find in most of the blogs of our kind. We just want to spread the word about great entertainment. What you can expect from us in the future: music, movie, book, and game reviews, our recent play-lists for the week, pertinent music and movie news, original commentary on the music industry, and many more features to come. We hope you will find our editorials entertaining and please participate!
Welcome to The Thoroughfare.
